In today’s digital age, brands face the challenge of capturing the attention and interest of their target audience in a highly competitive market. One effective strategy that has gained prominence in recent years is celebrity endorsements. However, relying solely on real-life celebrities can be expensive, limited in availability, and subject to various constraints. As a result, there is a growing need for tech-driven solutions to leverage the power of celebrity influence while overcoming these limitations.

Solution:

To create the hyper-realistic celebrity digital twin of Varun Dhawan, DaveAI utilized advanced techniques such as photogrammetry, motion capture, and 3D animation. The process began with capturing Varun’s photographs, body movements, facial expressions, and measurements through a photoshoot. Photogrammetry was applied to assemble these images from multiple angles, creating depth and accuracy akin to human vision. With a setup of 80 cameras, intricate details were mapped onto the avatar for a lifelike appearance. Motion capture enabled the avatar to replicate Varun’s movements, expressions, and signature dance moves, while 3D animation infused human-like qualities, including realistic attire, skin texture, and personality.

During Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki’s collaboration with DaveAI for the Varun Dhawan avatar generated impressive engagement, attracting over 1K+ selfies per day. The setup, designed to offer a virtual “celebrity meet,” allowed visitors to register at each booth, receive a unique code, and take selfies with the avatar at designated kiosks. The seamless process successfully captured visitor interest. Selfies were then emailed to users, enhancing brand recall and digital interaction.
